Microwave Occupancy Sensor Module NP BW LC 1.0

Microwave occupancy sensor module NP BW LC 1.0 is an electronic RF sensor module designed for occupancy or vacancy detection in the specified area, as well as for sensing human respiratory and motor activity. The module detects objects from up to 10 feet (3 meters) distance. Microwave occupancy sensor module NP BW LC 1.0 is designed for integration into security systems where it is necessary to detect presence or absence life sign indicators in a room. The module is a low-power microwave sensor operating in the license-free frequency band UWB 6.0 - 8.5 GHz

Driving Factors for Buying the Sensor Module

  • Saving cost on the casing of the assembled NP BW 02.00 device
  • The will to substitute NP-A22-7200 antenna installed in the assembled NP BW 02.00 device
  • Saving cost on the interface module
  • The will to substitute NP MB BW LC interface module installed in the assembled NP BW 02.00 device

Advantages of the Microwave Occupancy Sensor Module

  • Cost effective solution
  • Relatively small size
  • Unlicensed frequency band
  • Adjustable sensitivity zone
  • Adjustable angle of the sensitivity area via optimal antenna selection
  • A powerful ARM processor for digitizing raw data
  • UART interface for communication via AT commands

Installation and Applications

Microwave occupancy sensor module NP BW LC 1.0 can be used as a part of security systems, personnel call systems, nurse call systems, surveillance systems and in other systems as a presence detector, a breathing sensor or a motion sensor. The device can be placed in a completely locked housing. If the antenna is placed inside the housing, the housing must be non-metallic. Position of the module in the housing can be arbitrary.
